Trinity Personnel Ltd in Telford is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a stable manufacturing team on a Monday to Friday days basis. The role focuses on electrical maintenance with some mechanical duties, fault finding and keeping production equipment operational.

You will work in a small engineering team, handle reactive maintenance, PLCs (Allen Bradley) experience, and liaise with external contractors for HVAC; a full UK driving licence is preferred as the site

  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills.
  • A practical, can-do approach to maintenance and problem solving.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a small engineering team.

Job description

An established manufacturing business based in Telford is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team due to a forecoming retirement.

The role offers a Monday to Friday working pattern, with no rotating shifts, within a clean and well-maintained manufacturing environment.

THE ROLE

Working as part of a small engineering team, you will be responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance across machinery and the wider site.

The role is approximately 75% electrical and 25% mechanical, with a strong focus on reactive maintenance, fault finding and keeping production equipment operational.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Electrical maintenance and fault finding on manufacturing machinery
  • General site and facilities maintenance
  • Mechanical maintenance and fault finding
  • Working with Allen Bradley PLCs, including both newer and legacy systems
  • Signing off trainee electrical work
  • Liaising with external contractors for HVAC maintenance and repairs
  • Responding to breakdowns and carrying out reactive maintenance
  • Supporting the installation, transportation and set-up of equipment as the business continues to expand
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills
  • A practical, can-do approach to maintenance and problem solving
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a small engineering team

Mechanical experience would be advantageous, as would experience with Allen Bradley PLCs.

A full driving licence is preferred as the business continues to acquire additional sites and there may be occasions where equipment needs to be transported or set up.

WORKING HOURS

Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm

Friday: 8:00am - 4:00pm

There is some flexibility around the working hours where required.

The role also includes a call-out requirement, typically one weekend per month. Call-outs are paid separately, with a call-out fee plus time and a half.
