Jackie Kerr Recruitment Ltd is supporting a manufacturing client in Moreton-in-Marsh to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer on a rotating day and night shift basis.

You will provide reliable electrical maintenance across production lines, fault-find PLC-controlled equipment, and collaborate with maintenance and operators to maximise line availability and reliability. The role also involves reactive and preventative work, CMMS records, and continuous improvement contributions.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with PLC-controlled machinery and industrial control systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform reactive and planned electrical maintenance on production machinery.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Fault-find PLC systems, drives, motors, sensors and control circuits.
• Read electrical drawings and site documentation; carry out site maintenance.
• Support mechanical aspects and record work in the CMMS.
• Work across rotating day and night shifts.

We at JKR are supporting a manufacturing company in Moreton in Marsh, who are a leader in their particular field, in recruiting an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer!

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Role Purpose:

To provide reliable, safe, and efficient electrical maintenance support within an industrial environment. The role is primarily electrically biased, supporting continuous production by responding to breakdowns, carrying out planned maintenance, and improving equipment reliability across rotating day and night shifts.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Maintenance & Fault Finding

• Perform reactive and planned electrical maintenance onmachinery such as coaters, slitters, rewinders, printers, wrappers, and associated ancillary equipment
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults on production lines to minimise downtime
• Maintain and fault-find PLC-controlled systems, drives, motors, sensors, and control circuits
• Work with inverters, servos, HMIs, safety circuits, and industrial networks
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
• Carry out site maintenance work

Mechanical Support

• Provide basic mechanical assistance as required (belts, bearings, chains, rollers)
• Work closely with operators to resolve production issues

Planned Maintenance & Improvement

• Complete preventative maintenance tasks in line with the site schedule
• Assist with continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
• Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and new installations
• Accurately record work completed using the site CMMS

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Skills & Experience Required:

• Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills in a manufacturing or converting environment
• Experience with PLC-controlled machinery and industrial control systems
• Ability to work independently on shift and respond to breakdowns
• Comfortable working rotating day and night shifts
