Job summary

Castle Employment seeks an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our Ellesmere Port manufacturing site. You will help maintain plant reliability, diagnose faults across PLCs, drives and motors, and deliver planned maintenance to minimise downtime.

Working Monday to Friday with rotating shifts, the role offers ongoing development in automation and reliability within a collaborative engineering team. Experience in manufacturing and a time‑served electrical background are essential.

Qualifications

• Time‑served Electrical Engineer
• Experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic capability
• Able to read and interpret electrical schematics
• 18th Edition desirable

Responsibilities

• Respond to electrical breakdowns, minimising downtime
• Fault find across PLCs, drives, motors, sensors and control panels
• Deliver planned preventative maintenance across site equipment
• Support installation and commissioning of machinery
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and identify recurring faults
• Contribute to improvements in automation, reliability and efficiency
• Work safely in line with LOTO and site HSE standards
