Job summary

Vickerstock are partnering with a leading manufacturing business in Craigavon to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team. This role suits an experienced engineer who enjoys fault-finding, troubleshooting and resolving machinery breakdowns in a fast-paced production environment.

You will help keep production equipment operational, respond quickly to breakdowns and minimise downtime across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience in an electrical maintenance role within manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with reactive maintenance issues and machinery breakdowns.
• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds or equivalent electrical qualification.
• Willingness to work a rotating shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive electrical maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults and identify root causes of breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot issues involving electrical components, control systems and related equipment.
• Respond to machinery breakdowns quickly to minimise downtime.
• Work with production and engineering colleagues to maintain operational efficiency.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with health and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of breakdowns, repairs and maintenance activities.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Vickerstock are proud to be working in partnership with a leading manufacturing business in Craigavon to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer who enjoys fault-finding, troubleshooting and resolving machinery breakdowns in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in keeping production equipment operational, responding to breakdowns and minimising downtime across the site.

The Role

• Carry out reactive electrical maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults and identify the root cause of breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot issues involving electrical components, control systems and associated equipment.
• Respond to machinery breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimise production downtime.
• Work closely with production and engineering colleagues to maintain operational efficiency.
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed in line with health and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of breakdowns, repairs and maintenance activities.

Essential Criteria

• Previous experience in an electrical maintenance role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience responding to reactive maintenance issues and machinery breakdowns.
• Relevant electrical qualifications, such as an NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent.
• A proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Willingness to work a rotating shift pattern.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience working within pharmaceutical, food or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of PLCs, electrical control systems and reading electrical schematics.
• Experience maintaining automated production equipment.

Salary and Benefits

• £50,000
• Shift allowance on top of basic salary.
• Rotating shifts: 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am and 6am-2:30pm.
