Job description

Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Banbury, UK (On-site, 5 days/week)

Job Summary:

We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the Packing function of a leading food and beverage manufacturing company. Working on a 3-shift or earlies/lates pattern, you will support high-speed packing lines through reactive and planned maintenance, drive line performance, and coach operators to optimise equipment efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform reactive, preventative, and autonomous maintenance on plant and equipment.
• Lead and support packing line format changeovers, identifying ways to reduce downtime.
• Participate in root cause analysis, production meetings, and continuous improvement activities.
• Use SAP to log maintenance activities and manage spare parts.
• Collaborate with maintenance planning and production engineering teams to prioritise reliability projects.
• Maintain safety and quality standards, including involvement in fire response duties.
• Assist with project implementation, including new equipment maintenance plans and spares management.

Requirements:

• Time-served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering, electrical bias preferred.
• HNC or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Multi-skilled or willingness to become multi-skilled.
• Experience using SAP maintenance systems.
• Knowledge of PLC and HMI programming is an advantage.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
• Self-motivated, flexible, and proactive.
