About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer to take the lead in the technical delivery of offshore brownfield projects. This role involves full lifecycle responsibility, from design and specification through to installation, testing, commissioning, and project close-out. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in E&I systems, with a strong understanding of brownfield modifications and offshore execution. The position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and multi-disciplinary environment on high-profile global projects.
Responsibilities
Lead Electrical & Instrumentation engineering activities for offshore brownfield modifications and upgrades.
Review and develop detailed E&I designs, specifications, and technical documentation.
Coordinate offshore installation, testing, and commissioning of E&I systems.
Ensure compliance with international standards, client specifications, and health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Collaborate with project control teams to provide progress updates and support risk management processes.
Interface with clients, contractors, and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure effective project execution.
Support site surveys, readiness reviews, and offshore commissioning.
Contribute to continuous improvement in E&I engineering processes and project delivery.
Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 10 years' experience in E&I roles on offshore brownfield projects, ideally within the Oil & Gas sector.
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, control instrumentation, and hazardous area installations.
Proven experience in offshore installation, testing, and commissioning of E&I equipment.
Familiarity with international standards such as IEC, NEC, ATEX, and others.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
Proactive, safety-focused approach with the ability to work effectively in multicultural, high-paced environments.
