Job summary

Dovetail and Slate, based in Warwickshire, is seeking an Electrical Instructor/Technician to join a dynamic FE team. You will teach practical electrical skills, assess student competence, and provide feedback to ensure qualification standards are met.

The role covers delivering structured practical sessions, preparing materials, maintaining workshop tools, and enforcing health and safety compliance while supporting department training and events.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Electrical.
• Extensive industry experience in the Electrical industry.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical skills, assess student practical competence, provide feedback, and complete assessment paperwork to meet qualification standards.
• Deliver structured practical sessions using Schemes of Work to support knowledge and behavior development.
• Prepare materials, set up equipment, maintain workshop tools, and coordinate supplies for activities.
• Maintain workshop safety and ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines.
• Attend team meetings, open events, and undertake mandatory internal training.

Education

A Level 3 qualification in Electrical
