Job summary

Dovetail and Slate are seeking an Electrical Trainer/Assessor in Warwickshire. The role involves delivering workplace and workshop-based assessments, conducting progress reviews, and gathering portfolio evidence to satisfy City & Guilds / EAL requirements.

You will support learners through BS 7671 and safety standards while keeping accurate logs. The position emphasizes collaboration with college staff and employer supervisors to optimize training and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent.
• Significant electrical industry experience.
• Assessor qualification and practical assessing experience.

Responsibilities

• Delivering workplace and workshop-based assessments against NVQ Level 3 and Electrotechnical standards.
• Conducting progress reviews and site visits to track learner development.
• Gathering, verifying, and marking portfolio evidence for awarding bodies (City & Guilds / EAL).
• Carrying out practical assessment observations and EPA preparation.
• Supporting unqualified learners in BS 7671 and safety standards.
• Maintaining digital records and assessment logs.
• Collaborating with college staff, IQAs, and employer supervisors to align training.
• Ensuring all assessment practices meet QA, safety, and safeguarding guidelines.
