Job summary

ELIQUO HYDROK is seeking a skilled Electrician / Commissioning Engineer to oversee commissioning activities across the UK and Ireland. The successful candidate will ensure all activities align with project requirements in a safe and cost-effective manner.

Key responsibilities include leading site commissioning, giving updates to management, conducting quality assurance checks, and collaborating closely with the design team. The role requires relevant qualifications in electrical installation and experience within the utilities industry.

Qualifications

• Must hold current CSCS / ECS Card.
• Experienced in working within the Utilities Industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead site commissioning phase across the UK and Ireland.
• Provide progress updates to Departmental Managers.
• Attend commissioning meetings with clients.
• Conduct NICEIC electrical installation testing.
• Demonstrate commissioned plants to clients.

Job description

This role is for a skilled, focused and highly motivated Electrician / Commissioning Engineer to join the M&E team and deliver the commissioning activities of projects throughout the UK and Ireland. As an Electrician / Commissioning Engineer, you will bring demonstrable commissioning experience and practical skills to the team. Working closely with the Departmental Managers, you will ensure that all commissioning activities are executed to meet the project requirements in a safe and cost-effective manner.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead the site commissioning phase on sites covering the UK and Ireland.
• Responsible for providing the relevant Departmental Managers with progress updates and raise concerns where necessary.
• Ensure the commissioning is to the appropriate levels of quality and to standards and manufacturers best practice.
• Attendance at commissioning meetings with representatives from our clients.
• Undertake or supervise the NICEIC electrical installation testing to BS7671 as requested.
• Demonstration of commissioned plant to our client’s representatives to gain plant sign off prior to takeover.
• Completion of installation and commissioning records ensuring that all progress and equipment settings are recorded to include within the O&M Manuals.
• Assist the design team by undertaking site visits to gather information for the purposes of tendering or design prior to construction.
