Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an electrical installation and maintenance technician to join a multi-disciplined team across client sites in Newcastle. You will perform new installations and breakdown repairs, and you will test and inspect electrical systems in line with NIC guidelines while contributing refurbishment work from maintenance checks.

The role requires 18th Edition, City & Guilds 2361 Parts 1 and 2, and AM1/AM2 tests.

Qualifications

Experience carrying out electrical installations for new works and breakdowns.
Ability to test and inspect electrical installations per NIC documentation.
Experience in refurbishment works arising from maintenance inspections.
Able to respond to helpdesk reactive maintenance calls and carry out remedial work.
Qualified as Competent Person (Electrical) per Authorised Person.

Responsibilities

Carry out electrical installations for both New Works and Breakdowns.
Testing and inspecting electrical installations in accordance with National Inspection Council documentation.
Carrying out refurbishment works arising from breakdown or maintenance inspections.
Responding to Helpdesk reactive maintenance / breakdown calls and carrying out remedial work as necessary.
Assume the role of Competent Person (Electrical) as authorised by the Authorised Person.
Covering both of the client site locations.
Other reasonable duties as agreed with EFS management.
