Job summary

The Bedford College Group seeks a Technical Lecturer in Electrical Installations to join the Construction department. The role involves delivering engaging teaching across Electrical Installation and related programmes, blending practical and theoretical learning to meet learner needs.

You will plan schemes of work, assess progress, and provide feedback while maintaining safe learning environments. The post requires safeguarding awareness and flexibility across college locations, with alignment

Qualifications

Holds a Level 2 Electrical Installations qualification with up-to-date industry skills.
Experience in teaching across vocational areas and learner levels.
Willing to achieve Level 3 Teaching Award, TAQA and Cert Ed.
Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
Commitment to safeguarding, health and safety and flexibility across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

Electrical & Building Services teaching across Electrical Installation and related programmes.
Plan, develop and deliver industry-relevant teaching with practical and theoretical learning.
Develop schemes of work, assess learning and provide feedback to support progression.
Maintain safe learning environments and manage learner behaviour and safety.
Contribute to course development, quality improvement and student support.
