Job summary

Colchester Institute is seeking a WBL Assessor Trainer to support work-based learners in developing vocational competence in electrical installation. You will deliver coaching, assessment and training in employer workplaces and, if needed, on College premises.

This role requires accurate recording, adherence to awarding organisations and funding rules, plus a focus on safe practice and professional behaviours.

Qualifications

• Train and assess candidates toward qualifications or standards (knowledge, skills and behaviours).
• Complete all required awarding organisation documentation accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring full compliance with policies and procedures.
• Deliver engaging and innovative training using a variety of approaches to meet diverse learner needs.
• Assess student work in accordance with established criteria and provide timely feedback to support progress.

Responsibilities

• Train and assess candidates toward agreed qualifications or standards.
• Support learner sign-ups, reviews and employer meetings as required within the Work-Based Learning provision.
• Complete awarding organisation documentation accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with policies.
• Deliver engaging training using varied approaches to meet learner needs.
• Assessing student work and providing timely, constructive feedback.
• Monitor and track student performance, implementing interventions as necessary.
• Contribute to quality improvement, standardisation and compliance activities.
