Job summary

Burton and South Derbyshire College is seeking an Electrical Installation Course Leader to join the Construction Academy. The role is full time (37 hours per week) with consideration for part-time, based at The Stephen Burke Construction Academy, Swadlincote.

The post offers a salary up to £36,590 per annum (pro rata for fractional posts) along with a £4,500 Golden Hello staged over 3 years and a bursary up to £1,800 per year depending on qualifications.

Qualifications

• Must hold relevant qualifications in your subject area.
• Teaching qualification is desirable or willingness to work towards the qualifications stated above.
• Evidence of qualifications is required.
• Willingness to work towards Level 2 English and Maths.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality teaching within the Construction Academy and Green Skills Centre.
• Develop and deliver specialist industry related courses as required.
• Engage learners from day one with industry experience and a fresh teaching style.

Level 3-5 Education & Teaching

Level 3 TAQA Assessor Qualification

Level 4 TAQA Internal Quality Assurance Qualification

Level 4 HNC in Construction / Civil Engineering
