Job summary

M365Consult is seeking an Electrical Installation Technician for a static site-based role at our Derbyshire manufacturing facility. The role offers progression toward senior electrical engineering responsibilities with structured training and long-term earning potential.

The successful candidate will install, commission and maintain electrical systems across production machinery, with emphasis on safety, BS 7671 compliance and documentation. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualification or completed apprenticeship.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing environments is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to drive.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify and commission electrical systems across the manufacturing site.
• Work with control panels, distribution boards and single-phase and three-phase circuitry.
• Complete rewires, containment, cabling, lighting and power installations.
• Support new machinery installations, relocations and commissioning projects.
• Maintain electrical supplies serving production equipment, chillers and site services.
• Complete electrical inspection, testing and fault-finding.
• Assist with planned maintenance and electrical breakdowns.
• Maintain electrical drawings, testing records and installation documentation.
• Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 and site safety procedures.
• Support site improvement and energy-efficiency projects.

Salary: Up to £36,500 per annum, with long-term earning potential up to £45,000 plus overtime, on-call payments and bonuses

Location:Derbyshire

Type: Full-time, permanent – static site-based role

Overview:
An excellent opportunity for an Electrician, Electrical Trainee or qualified Electrical Apprentice who wants to develop into an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer.

You will be permanently based at a large, established manufacturing site, working across production machinery, electrical infrastructure and commercial facilities. The position offers structured training, professional development and strong long-term earning potential.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence and must be able to drive
• Electrical qualification, completed apprenticeship or relevant practical experience
• Electrical installation experience within an industrial, manufacturing or commercial environment
• Understanding of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems
• Keen to develop installation, testing, commissioning and fault-finding skills
• Reliable, safety-conscious and willing to learn
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations advantageous
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing advantageous
