Job Description
We at Work Lyf Group are recruiting for an E&I Installation Supervisor for our well-established client based in Warrington.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the Site Manager to help ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Liaise with the Electrical Project Engineer to produce Electrical Installation Specifications.
- Manage site subcontractor labor, review RAMS, and coordinate site work permits including LOTO.
- Review technical drawings and distribute information to electrical installation supervisors.
- Manage storage and safe distribution of installation materials and instrumentation.
- Liaise with CAD engineers to document proposed routing of cable containment for client approval.
- Collaborate with the Electrical Project Engineer to produce installation planning documents and monitor installation progress.
- Identify and install instrumentation from the design package, advising the mechanical team on best practices.
Preferred Experience:
- Understanding of UK legislation, including BS7671.
- Experience with instrumentation applications such as flow, level, pressure, temperature, weight, and analytical systems.
- Managing subcontractor labor for large projects.
- Understanding of electrical and P&ID drawings.
- Knowledge of the beverage industry regulations and certifications.
- Experience with hazardous area applications, zoning, and wiring system installation.
- Understanding of control bus systems, AS-I, Profibus, and industrial Ethernet networks.
Essential Experience:
- 7+ years in hygienic process installation and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Client meeting attendance and minute recording skills.
- Generation of project documentation such as Installation Schedules and I/O commissioning documents.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with control panel testing and hazardous area installation (Zone 22).
- Technical and professional knowledge relevant to the role.
- Ability to work independently and in teams, with proactive and resourceful attitude.
- Strong teamwork, planning, organizational, and communication skills.
Qualifications:
- HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with relevant industry experience.
Location mainly in the UK, with occasional travel abroad. Monday to Friday, with occasional overnight stays.
