Job summary

South Hampshire College Group is seeking an Electrical Lecturer to deliver engaging teaching across Electrical Installation programmes, support learners to achieve qualifications, and help them progress to employment or further study. You will plan lessons, assess progress, and provide pastoral support within a collaborative curriculum team.

You may also act as Course Leader, contributing to curriculum quality, learner achievement, and compliance with awarding-body requirements, while engaging

Qualifications

• Strong teaching and delivery across Electrical Installation at Levels 1–3.
• Experience delivering practical and theory sessions including inspection & testing and fault-finding.
• Ability to design schemes of work, assessment plans and course documentation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver teaching across Electrical Installation, including theory, practical skills, inspection & testing, fault diagnosis and design.
• Plan, prepare and assess learning, including marking, feedback, tutorials and pastoral support.
• Act as Course Leader for designated programmes, overseeing delivery, assessment schedules, quality processes and student progress.
• Support learner progression toward full occupational competence and End Point Assessment.
• Maintain records including attendance, performance, destinations and awarding-body requirements.
• Organise work placements and liaise with employers, parents/carers and external bodies.
• Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
• Participate in college events such as open evenings, careers events and school liaison.
