Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in Middlesex invites applications for a Lecturer in Electrical Installation to deliver industry-standard programs and lead practical workshops that prepare learners for employment or further study. The successful candidate will hold Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) and GCSE English/Maths (C/4).

A Level 5 teaching qualification is welcomed; the college provides funding and support to achieve it on the job.

Qualifications

Proven hands-on industry experience in electrical installation.
Teaching, training, or workplace assessing experience is desirable.
A Level 5 teaching qualification (DET/PGCE) welcomed; funded on the job if not held.

Responsibilities

Prepare, deliver, and assess practical workshop sessions and classroom lessons across Electrical Installation courses.
Conduct academic progress reviews, inductions, and tutoring to support retention and progression.
Maintain health, safety, and workshop standards while developing schemes of work and digital learning resources.
Participate in open evenings, applicant interviews, and recruitment events.
