Job summary

TR2 Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a well-established Further Education provider in Rotherham to recruit an Electrical Installation Lecturer.

You will deliver theoretical and practical training across Level 1-3 Electrical Installation, adult courses and apprenticeships, guiding learners from theory to hands-on skills.

• Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installations required.
• Strong practical experience in electrical installation industry.

Electrical Installation Lecturer - Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities

Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire

Salary: £33,487 - £38,487 per annum (pro rata for part-time)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 3, 4 or 5 days per week available

We are working with a well-established Further Education provider in the Rotherham area to recruit an Electrical Installation Lecturer. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrician, Electrical Installation Engineer, Tutor or Assessor looking to take the next step in their career.

The Role

You will deliver engaging theoretical and practical training across Level 1-3 Electrical Installation programmes, adult learning courses and apprenticeships.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering classroom and practical workshop sessions.


• Supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and develop industry-ready skills.


• Sharing your industry knowledge and practical experience.


• Developing engaging teaching materials and learning resources.


• Monitoring learner progress and providing constructive feedback.


• Promoting safe working practices and maintaining high workshop standards.


• Working collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and learner success.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installations (2365, 2357, 5357, Gold Card or equivalent).


• Strong practical experience within the electrical installation industry.


• Level 2 English and Maths, or willingness to work towards these.


• A genuine interest in supporting and developing learners.

Desirable:

• 2391 Inspection and Testing.


• BS 7671 Wiring Regulations.


• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd or equivalent).


• Assessor qualification.

No teaching qualification? No problem! Experienced industry professionals without teaching or assessing qualifications are encouraged to apply, provided they are willing to work towards them with support.
