Job summary

Equals One Ltd is seeking an Electrical Installation Engineer to join our team and deliver Building Management System electrical installations across the UK. You will work on commercial and industrial projects with early starts on site typically between 7:00am and 7:30am, and travel to customer sites as required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
• AM2 Qualification.
• ECS Gold Card.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Commercial or industrial electrical installation experience.
• Good understanding of BS7671.
• Desirable: BMS experience, HVAC or plant room installations.
• Desirable: Trend, Siemens, Schneider, Tridium or Honeywell systems.
• Desirable: IPAF, PASMA, SSSTS/SMSTS.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical infrastructure that supports Building Management Systems on a range of UK projects.
• Carry out commercial electrical installations in plant rooms and energy centres.
• Wire HVAC systems, cables and control panels; terminate BMS hardware.
• Read drawings and schematics; undertake testing, fault finding and safety checks.
• Travel to customer sites across the UK; occasional overnight stays.
• Maintain high standards of safety and workmanship; contribute to project progression.

Role overview

You will install the electrical infrastructure that supports Building Management Systems on a wide range of commercial and industrial projects across the UK.

Typical work includes:

• Commercial electrical installations within plant rooms and energy centres
• HVAC and control wiring
• Cable containment and cable installation
• Installing and terminating BMS control panels
• Wiring sensors, actuators and associated equipment
• Reading electrical drawings and schematics
• Inspection, testing and fault finding
• Maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship

This role involves travelling to customer sites across the UK and will occasionally require working away during the week.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
• AM2 Qualification
• ECS Gold Card
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Commercial or industrial electrical installation experience
• Good understanding of BS7671

Desirable:

• Previous BMS experience
• HVAC or plant room installations
• Trend, Siemens, Schneider, Tridium or Honeywell systems
• IPAF
• PASMA
• SSSTS or SMSTS
