Overview

First Military Recruitment is currently seeking an Electrical Installation Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the health and safety during the commissioning phase of the project.
• Develop relationships with the client to ensure smooth delivery and handover.
• Provide progress updates to the Commissioning Manager & Project Manager and raise concerns where necessary.
• Ensure the electrical installation meets quality standards, regulations, and manufacturer’s best practices.
• Demonstrate leadership to positively influence team results.
• Produce and review Method Statements and Risk Assessments for electrical activities.
• Assist in producing electrical installation plans, inspection/test plans, and training manuals.
• Coordinate with the systems integration team for Site Acceptance Tests and Telemetry commissioning.
• Review P&ID diagrams and develop strategies for plant and equipment commissioning aligned with client specifications, ensuring process integrity and risk reduction.
• Attend site meetings with client engineering and operational teams.

Skills and Qualifications

• City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in electrical installations BS7671 18th edition 2382-18.
• C&G 2365 Electrical, 2394 & 2395 Inspection & Testing (desirable).
• City & Guilds AM2 qualification.
• City & Guilds 2391-52 inspection & testing qualifications or equivalent (desirable).
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.
• Proficient in Office 365 suite.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation regarding safe work practices.
• SSSTS / SMSTS certification.
• CSCS card.
• First Aid trained.
• Significant industrial electrical installation experience with some commissioning background.
• Understanding of promoting safety culture on site.
