Job summary
Leonardo in Yeovil is seeking Electrical Installation Design Engineers for a long-term contract. The role requires hands-on experience with electrical installation design and working within aerospace/defence environments. Expect close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and design reviews on-site.
The position offers 2–3 days on site per week with a negotiable rate inside IR35. This long-term contract is ideal for engineers with CATIA V5 or Siemens NX Electrical Workbench experience.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in electrical installation/design engineering.
- Proficiency in CATIA V5 or Siemens NX Electrical Workbench.
- Good understanding of electrical installation principles and engineering practices.
- Ability to interpret and produce technical drawings and documentation.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
- Aerospace/defence experience would be highly advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical installations and associated engineering documentation.
- Produce and modify electrical installation designs using CATIA V5 or Siemens NX Electrical Workbench.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical requirements.
- Work closely with electrical, mechanical and systems engineering teams.
- Support design reviews, technical queries and resolution of engineering issues.
