BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to shape the design and integration of advanced electrical systems within airframe engineering. You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering safe, cost-effective designs across the product lifecycle.
The role requires hands-on CATIA V5 Electrical 3D/2D work, collaboration with suppliers and customers, and mentoring junior engineers. This is a 12-month contract with hybrid working (2–3 days onsite) at Samlesbury, UK.

BAE Systems are recruiting a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to play a key role in shaping the design and integration of advanced electrical systems within airframe engineering. You'll work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, safe, and cost-effective designs across the full product lifecycle.
Produce detailed electrical design solutions that meet complex functional and safety requirements. Use CATIA V5 Electrical 3D & 2D toolsets to design and install electrical equipment and harness routing. Collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines, suppliers, and customers in a team-oriented environment. Verify and release design data to project standards while maintaining quality, cost, and schedule. Identify and manage technical risks, propose solutions, and support design modifications. Mentor and support other design team members to enhance engineering capability.
