Are you a qualified Electrician with electrical inspection and testing experience looking for something a little different from the usual electrical role?
We are recruiting for a Field Based Electrical Inspection & Testing Engineer to join an established specialist business, carrying out electrical inspection, testing and remedial work across a varied portfolio of venues throughout the UK.
You’ll work across entertainment venues, educational establishments, conference facilities and other specialist sites, combining local work throughout the M4/M5 corridor with planned UK travel.
This is a permanent, hands‑on role offering autonomy, variety and excellent opportunities to further develop your technical qualifications.
This is a field‑based role involving regular UK travel, so applicants must be comfortable working away from home.
Working away will involve a mixture of individual nights and blocks of several days. There is no fixed pattern, although much of the travel is planned and booked months in advance.
The busiest periods tend to fall during school holidays, balanced with significant local work throughout the M4/M5 corridor.
All business expenses are covered
This is a 40‑hour salaried position.
Due to the nature of the role, there isn’t a fixed point after which additional weekday hours automatically become overtime.
Night and weekend shifts are rare. Where required, overtime is paid at time‑and‑a‑half or double time, depending on when the work is undertaken.
All applicants must be time‑served electricians and hold:

Candidates at the top end of the salary range will need a Level 3 Inspection & Testing qualification, such as City & Guilds2391 or equivalent, together with at least two years' demonstrable commercial inspection experience.
