Job summary

Valoris Group, in partnership with a leading electrical contractor, seeks an Electrical Improver to support commercial and domestic projects across the Farnham area. You will gain experience alongside a skilled team on live installations while working toward full electrician status.

This role offers consistent hours, paid travel and overtime options, and a clear progression pathway toward a fully qualified electrician with further training.

Qualifications

• 1+ years site-based experience as Electrical Improver or Electricians Mate
• NVQ Level 2 in Electrical Installation (in progress or completed)
• Awareness of site health and safety practices
• Basic tools and PPE (or willing to obtain)
• Reliable, hardworking and eager to develop your electrical career
• Ability to commute to various project sites daily
• Right to work in the UK
• 18th Edition (or working towards)
• Experience in commercial, residential, or renewable energy sectors

Responsibilities

• Assisting Electricians with installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical systems
• Pulling cable, containment work (tray, trunking, conduit), and 1st/2nd fix wiring
• Supporting fault-finding and remedial work under supervision
• Maintaining tools, equipment, and site cleanliness in line with health & safety standards
• Working effectively with site teams to ensure projects are delivered on time
• Following instructions from site supervisors and working in accordance with current IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition)
