Job summary

Valoris Group is seeking an Electrical Improver to support electricians across domestic, commercial, and industrial sites on the South Coast. The role is subcontract-based with ongoing work up to five days a week and long-term potential for progression to a fully qualified role.

You will assist with installations, containment, and basic fault finding while gaining exposure to a range of systems including fire alarms, security, and EV charging.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Electrical Improver or Mate.
• Level 2 in Electrical Installation or working towards Level 3.
• 18th Edition (preferred).
• ECS Card held.
• Full UK Driving Licence (preferred).
• Own basic tools.
• Experience on commercial/industrial sites.
• Exposure to fire alarms, security systems or EV charging.
• Basic testing and inspection understanding.

Responsibilities

• Assist electricians with installations across domestic, commercial and industrial sites.
• Support containment (tray, trunking, conduit) and cabling.
• Assist with maintenance works and reactive call-outs.
• Carry out basic fault finding under supervision.
• Support with EICRs and remedial works as required.
• Log works, upload photos and complete timesheets using app-based systems.
• Maintain a professional and reliable on-site approach.
