Job summary

EES Contracts in Widnes is looking for experienced Electrical Improvers to join our team on a manufacturing facility project. You will work alongside qualified electricians to assist with industrial electrical installation works in a busy production environment.

This role suits candidates with prior industrial installation experience who are confident installing containment systems and assisting with SWA cable installations. Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid ECS Card and IPAF required.
• Previous experience as an Electrical Improver.
• Industrial or manufacturing installation experience.
• Experience installing electrical containment systems.
• Familiarity with SWA cable installation.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good understanding of health and safety on industrial sites.

• Assisting electricians with industrial electrical installations
• Installing containment systems including tray, trunking, conduit, and cable ladder
• Assisting with installation, glanding, and termination of SWA cables
• Pulling, routing, and dressing power and control cables
• Installing electrical accessories and supporting equipment
• Working from electrical drawings and site instructions
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and site housekeeping
• Following all health and safety procedures while working within a live manufacturing environment

• Assisting with the installation, glanding, and termination of SWA cables


• Pulling, routing, and dressing power and control cables


• Installing electrical accessories and supporting equipment


• Working from electrical drawings and site instructions


• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and site housekeeping


• Following all health and safety procedures while working within a live manufacturing environment

Requirements

• Valid ECS Card and IPAF (essential)


• Previous experience as an Electrical Improver


• Industrial or manufacturing installation experience


• Experience installing electrical containment systems


• Familiarity with SWA cable installation


• Ability to work effectively as part of a team


• Good understanding of health and safety requirements on industrial sites

Desirable Experience

• Previous work within manufacturing or process facilities


• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
