Job summary

A leading UK-wide facilities management provider is seeking a Depot Maintenance Technician to join their Bradford depot. You will manage PPM schedules, respond to helpdesk requests, and perform repairs while ensuring compliance with electrical standards.

The role requires 18th edition wiring knowledge, relevant City & Guilds qualifications, and experience with three-phase electrics. Permanent contract with long-term stability and a competitive benefits package is offered.

  • 3 phase electrics and its applications.
  • City & Guilds 2391 Testing and Inspection.

Responsibilities

  • Complete the PPM schedule within KPI timescales and ensure all paperwork is completed.
  • Work flexibly within the cluster as required.
  • Respond to service calls from Helpdesk and carry out repairs as needed.
  • Prioritise maintenance and repair work to meet timescales.
  • Order spares according to procedures.
  • Identify non-repairable faults and advise on replacements.
  • Inform management of issues affecting depot operations.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Complete the PPM schedule within agreed KPI timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid‑down procedures.
  • To work flexibly within the cluster as required.
  • Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary.
  • Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
  • Order spares to the laid‑down procedures.
  • Identify non‑repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Senior Maintenance Technician or Cluster Facilities Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.
  • Where plant and equipment is non‑repairable, to make recommendations to the Senior Maintenance Technician or Cluster Facilities Manager regarding suitable replacement.
  • Advise the GM and distribution line managers of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the depot.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
  • C&G 2382 (18th edition)
  • Level 3 core Electrical qualification, examples of which are: C&G2330, C&G 2365 (with relevant experience), C&G2365 etc.
  • 3 phase electrics and its applications
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
  • Familiarity with completion of electrical certification
  • City & Guilds 2391 Testing and Inspection
  • Time served in electrical discipline or have relevant industry experience in a similar role.
