Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking an experienced Electrical fitter/Technician to perform heavy maintenance on a fleet of rail vehicles in Cardiff on a 12-month contract.

The role pays £19.56 per hour PAYE or £25.98 umbrella, over 36 hours per week with potential overtime, Monday to Friday days/evenings on a rotation.

Candidates should have NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and proven experience in vehicle maintenance or overhaul/refurbishment.

Qualifications

• Experienced engineer, with a minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Proven experience and understanding of vehicle maintenance or overhaul/refurbishment activities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Electrical maintenance and overhaul of Rail Vehicles to standards.
• Work on underframes of rail vehicles to refit/replace Electrical components as part of the overhaul.

Job description

Electrical Fitter Electrical Technician

We are looking for an experienced Electrical fitter/Technician to carry out Heavy maintenance on a fleet of Rail vehicles in Cardiff on a 12 month Contract basis.

The ideal individuals will have experience in some form of relatable industry such as Vehicle/Aircraft maintenance, heavy engineering (REME, HGV, PSV etc) but all vehicular or transferable background industries will be considered

Your Tasks

• Carry out Electrical maintenance and overhaul of Rail Vehicles to laid down standards and procedures
• Working on the underframes of rail vehicles to refit/replace Electrical components as part of the overhaul.

Your Profile

• Experienced engineer, qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent as a minimum.
• Some Proven experience, involvement and understanding of vehicle maintenance or overhaul/refurbishment activities
