Job summary

Electrical Fitter role at a West Yorkshire manufacturer offers a clean, structured environment with strong job security and development opportunities. Based in Leeds area with easy access from Bradford, Huddersfield and Wakefield, the position focuses on OEM machinery assembly, wiring and testing.

You will work from complex electrical schematics, maintain quality and health & safety standards, document production records and support training within a stable, long-term team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in engineering.
• Minimum two years' experience in electrical assembly and testing of OEM machinery.
• Ability to read complex electrical schematic diagrams and work independently.

• Assemble, wire and test OEM machinery and electrical assemblies

• Maintain quality standards and follow all Health & Safety procedures
• Support team members and assist with training where required
• Identify and upscale electrical faults or non-conformance issues
• Complete documentation, production records, and stock control

• Early finish every Friday
• Staggered day shift (start between 06:00 - 07:30, fixed once agreed)
• 8-hour days Monday to Thursday, 5.5 hours Friday

What We're Looking For:

• Experience working as an Electrical Fitter or similar role
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline
• Minimum two year's experience in electrical assembly and testing of OEM machinery
• Experience with control panel assembly, wiring and low-voltage electrical systems
• Ability to read complex electrical schematic diagrams and work independently
• Strong attention to detail and electrical aptitude

The site is based in Leeds and is easily accessible from Bradford, Huddersfield, Wakefield, and surrounding areas.
