Job summary

Express Recruitment are proud to partner with a well-established fire and security solutions provider. The Electrical Fire Systems Service Engineer will cover the South West, carrying out maintenance, fault finding and installation work on fire and security systems.

You will work field-based with a focus on safety, technical excellence and customer service. The role offers a competitive salary up to £37k with earning potential up to about £55k, plus a company van, fuel card, uniform, ongoing

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar engineering role within electrical fire safety.
• Ability to fault find, diagnose and problem solve.
• Maintain and service fire and security systems.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
• Complete detailed service reports and records.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance, servicing and inspections of fire and security systems.
• Undertake electrical repairs, fault finding, testing and installation works.
• Identify faults and provide recommendations; follow up remedial works.
• Complete accurate service reports and maintenance documentation.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in a similar role in an engineering role within electrical fire safety
• Knowledge of safe working practices and relevant industry procedures
• Ability to fault find, diagnose and problem solve
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
• Carry out scheduled planned preventative maintenance, servicing and inspections of fire and security systems
• Undertake electrical repairs, fault finding, testing and installation works as required
• Ensure all systems and equipment are maintained and operated in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures
• Complete accurate and detailed service reports, inspection records and maintenance documentation
• Identify system faults and defects, providing clear recommendations and ensuring remedial works are reported and followed up promptly
