Job summary

MERITUS is recruiting a Site Technician to support energy projects across green and nuclear sectors. The on-site role covers assembly and wiring of protection and control systems, plus safety testing before commissioning on UK sites.

The role requires travel, a strong technical skillset, and the ability to read detailed wiring diagrams. A negotiable salary, 28 days holiday, pension, private healthcare, and development support are on offer.

Qualifications

• 1+ year site-based electrical or wiring experience.
• EC&I installations experience in substations or similar environments.
• Able to read and interpret circuit diagrams and wiring schedules.
• Willing to travel to various UK locations.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire electrical protection and control systems using drawings and specs.
• Install and terminate cables including multicore, copper, and fibre.
• Mechanical assembly of enclosures, frameworks, and cable containment systems.
• Perform electrical testing (continuity, insulation resistance, point-to-point, functional).
• Coordinate with site teams to ensure materials, deliverables and quality.
• Identify and report technical issues with engineering teams.
