Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Electrical Field Service Engineer to join one of the UK's leading gas infrastructure businesses in the Bristol area. You will install, commission, maintain and repair electrical and instrumentation systems across varied sites, supporting the safe delivery of energy services.

The role suits a qualified electrician/engineer with hands-on experience, offering a company car, overtime at enhanced rates, and a structured career path within a growing regional business.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification or equivalent.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience in Electrical Field Service Engineer/maintenance roles.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair work on electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Maintain and support LV systems and related equipment.
• Complete planned maintenance activities ensuring safety compliance.
• Diagnose faults and undertake repairs to ensure reliability.
• Prepare reports and provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Support and oversee contractors and third-party suppliers.
