Job summary

United Infrastructure is seeking an Electrical Field Engineer to install, test, commission, maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems at project sites. This field-based role covers Aberdeen and surrounding areas, ensuring work meets design specs, safety standards and project deadlines while supporting field teams and clients.

You will review drawings, perform diagnostics, and coordinate with project managers and contractors.

Qualifications

• 18th Edition electrical qualifications.
• C&G 2365 Level 3 qualification.
• 2–5+ years of field experience in electrical work.
• Strong understanding of power systems, protection and control circuits.
• Working knowledge of automation systems is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel and work in field environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, testing and commissioning of LV electrical systems.
• Conduct troubleshooting, diagnostics and repair of electrical faults.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings and technical docs.
• Ensure compliance with national/international codes (NEC, IEC, IEEE).
• Coordinate with project managers, designers and contractors.
• Prepare technical reports and test results.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Enforce safety procedures and quality standards.
• Provide training and guidance to junior engineers.
