Job summary

EQUANS is seeking a Multiskilled Engineer (Electrical) to join Burnley General Teaching Hospital. This permanent, full-time role involves maintaining electrical systems and supporting site operations with a focus on safety and compliance.

The engineer will diagnose faults, perform servicing, and assist in installation and commissioning of plant and equipment, while upholding professional standards and contributing to a responsive facilities team.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an electrical apprenticeship with relevant qualifications.
• NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
• City & Guilds 2392 – Inspection & Testing or equivalent (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, fault-find, and service electrical systems on site.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on building services.
• Install, commission, and service plant and equipment.
• Maintain professional appearance and EQUANS representation.
• Participate in on-call rota and shift work as needed.
• Administer and complete relevant paperwork.
