Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a fully qualified Electrical Engineer to maintain LV electrical systems and building services. You will lead maintenance activities, plan across trades and work with contractors to ensure safe, reliable operation of plant and equipment.

The role requires City and Guilds Advanced Craft or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, plus an apprenticeship or equivalent training, and a willingness to undertake NHS training and development.

Qualifications

• Attained a recognised City and Guilds Advanced Craft certified qualification or equivalent plus significant post apprenticeship experience or NVQ level 3 Electrical engineering.
• Willing and able to participate in ongoing NHS Maintenance training and development programmes.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance work across LV engineering services, plant and building fabric.
• Interpret technical electrical manuals, diagnose faults, repair and test complex installations.
• Assist in commissioning, problem solve new technical services and communicate safety knowledge to others.
