Electrical Estimator – Solar PV

£40,000-£50,000

Exeter

MDE are seeking an electrical estimator with experience in costing and project engineering of solar PV projects.

We are looking for someone who can fulfill the following responsibilities:

1. Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labour, equipment, subcontractor costs, and contingencies.
2. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop system layouts and accurate bills of materials.
3. Conduct site visits as needed to evaluate project-specific conditions affecting pricing and logistics.
4. Prepare, circulate, and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
5. Support business development, project management, and sales teams with technical input and bid documentation.
6. Prepare client proposals and tender submissions.
7. Maintain an up-to-date cost database and estimation tools.
8. Assist in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or compliance.

Requirements
