Streamline Search Ltd. is recruiting an Electrical Estimator for a Northern Ireland contractor, offering hybrid working and a salary of £50,000–£60,000 DOE.

The role focuses on preparing estimates for electrical projects, reviewing drawings and tender documents, and collaborating with the Managing Director and the team. The ideal candidate has a strong electrical background, estimating interest, excellent attention to detail, and good communication.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical background with understanding of installations.
• Experience or interest in developing estimating skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to learn estimating systems.
• Ability to commute to Maghera reliably.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing estimates and quotations for electrical projects.
• Review project specifications, drawings and tender documentation to understand electrical requirements.
• Assess materials, labour and associated costs to support accurate project pricing.
• Obtain, review and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Liaise with colleagues and management to clarify project requirements and pricing information.
• Help ensure estimates are accurate, competitive and submitted within required timescales.
• Identify potential commercial risks, pricing discrepancies and cost-saving opportunities.
• Use estimating processes and systems to prepare and manage quotations.
• Work closely with the Managing Director and wider team to support the estimating function and successful project delivery.
