Job summary

TLG Infrastructure Limited is recruiting an Electrical Estimator for high-end residential projects based in Uxbridge, West London. You will prepare and pricing tenders for luxury residential installations, collaborating with pre-construction, commercial and delivery teams to ensure accurate estimates and competitive bids.

Experience pricing high-end residential or bespoke refurbishments and strong Excel skills are essential.

• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within an electrical or M&E contractor.
• Experience pricing high-end residential, luxury developments or bespoke refurbishment projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services installations.
• Strong Excel skills and experience using electrical estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates and competitive tender submissions.
• Review drawings, specifications, schedules and tender documentation.
• Carry out accurate electrical take-offs and material measurements.
• Price electrical packages across luxury residential new-build and refurbishment projects.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and specialist subcontractors.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and alternative technical solutions.
• Prepare labour, material, plant and subcontractor cost breakdowns.
• Assess project risks, exclusions and commercial considerations.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors during the tender process.
• Attend site visits and tender clarification meetings where required.
• Review lighting, power, containment, distribution and specialist electrical systems.
• Support tender handovers to the project delivery team.
• Maintain accurate estimating records and tender documentation.
• Work closely with senior management to develop competitive pricing strategies.

Electrical Estimator - High-End Residential

Rate: £35-£45 per hour (Outside IR35)

The Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of an established electrical contractor looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team based in Uxbridge, West London.

The business specialises in delivering high-quality electrical installations across the luxury residential sector, working on prestigious properties, bespoke residential developments and high-specification refurbishment projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join a contractor delivering technically detailed and high-value residential projects.

The position offers £35-£45 per hour Outside IR35, depending on experience.

The Role

As Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for electrical packages across a range of high-end residential projects.

You will work closely with the pre-construction, commercial and project delivery teams, reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation to produce detailed cost estimates.

Projects will involve high-specification electrical installations, including lighting, power distribution, specialist lighting controls, home automation and associated building services.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator with a strong background in electrical contracting and building services.

• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within an electrical or M&E contractor
• Previous experience pricing high-end residential, luxury developments or bespoke refurbishment projects
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services installations
• Experience estimating lighting, power, containment and distribution systems
• Knowledge of specialist lighting controls, smart home systems or home automation would be advantageous
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications and tender documentation
• Strong understanding of labour, material and subcontractor pricing
• Experience obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Good commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Strong Excel skills and experience using electrical estimating software
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Relevant electrical qualification or trade background advantageous
