Job summary

Hunter Selection Ltd is recruiting an Electrical Project Manager to own electrical projects across the Yorkshire region. You will manage tender, design, on-site delivery, commissioning and handover, leading multi-disciplinary teams to achieve targets.

The role requires proven experience in commercial/industrial electrical projects, strong financial acumen and excellent client-facing skills, with a commutable distance to Leeds or Sheffield.

Qualifications

• Experience managing commercial or industrial electrical projects from start to finish.
• Based within commutable distance of Leeds or Sheffield.
• Up-to-date 18th Edition wiring regulations.
• SMSTS/SSSTS, JIB Gold/Black CSCS Card mandatory or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full project life cycle from inception to client handover.
• Control budgets, procurement, variations and final accounts to protect margins.
• Oversee site delivery teams, sub-contractors and engineers to ensure quality.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, health and safety standards, and project specifications.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and attend progress meetings.

Electrical Project Manager

Location: Based in Leeds or Sheffield

Salary: Up to £65,000 + Car Allowance
Position: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking a driven and experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will take complete ownership of electrical projects across the Yorkshire region. You will manage the entire project lifecycle, from initial tender and design stages through to on-site delivery, final commissioning, and client handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full project life cycle from inception to successful completion and client handover.
• Manage project budgets, procurement, variations, and final accounts to ensure strong profit margins.
• Oversee site delivery teams, sub-contractors, and engineers to guarantee high-quality workmanship.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with current regulations, health and safety standards, and project specifications.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, attending progress meetings and building long-term relationships.

What We Are Looking For

• Proven track record managing commercial or industrial electrical projects from start to finish.
• Must be based within a commutable distance of Leeds or Sheffield.
• Level 3 Electrical Installation, NVQ, or equivalent technical qualifications (HNC/HND preferred).
• Valid SMSTS / SSSTS, JIB Gold Card or Black CSCS Card, and up-to-date 18th Edition wiring regulations.
• Strong financial acumen, excellent communication, and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
