You will be based out of our fabulous office in Preston.

What will you be doing?

As an Electrical Estimator for BES Electrical, you will be responsible for creating remedial quotes based on Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), engineer surveys, follow on works and any other Electrical documentation/certification. The Estimator will accurately price the repair work required to ensure the property complies with current regulations, supporting the company’s commitment to safety and compliance.

You will also:

• Review EICRs to identify faults, defects, or non-compliance issues.
• Classify faults according to BS 7671 categories (e.g., C1, C2, C3, FI).
• Prepare detailed and accurate remedial work quotations based on the scope of repairs highlighted in EICRs.
• Prepare detailed quotes for internal and external EICR’s, Emergency Lighting (EML), Install and follow on works.
• Estimate labour, materials, and additional costs associated with repair work.
• Requirement to attend meetings and log issues.
• Sign off on Electrical Estimating Assistant quotes over an agreed specification / method of works.

To join our team, you will need:

• Proven experience in estimating or pricing
• Experience in electrical works on site.
• Experience of working effectively with a variety of key stakeholders.
• Good knowledge of BS 7671 regulations.
• NVQ Level 3 Qualification in electrical installation work e.g. C&G 2330, 2360, 2357, 2365 or equivalent experience (or working towards).
• City & Guilds Inspection and Testing (2391) or equivalent qualification / experience (or working towards).
• Ideally an understanding of Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and the ability to price remedial work accurately
