Job summary

Ignite Talent Group Ltd in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking an Electrical Estimator for a full-time, permanent position. You will be responsible for preparing accurate electrical building services estimates for a range of projects, from healthcare to commercial sectors.

Key duties include tender pricing from drawings and specs, coordinating with design, commercial and operations teams, and maintaining records of estimates and quotations.

Responsibilities

• Preparing detailed electrical tenders and cost plans from drawings, specifications and client requirements
• Reviewing tender documentation and identifying key project risks and opportunities
• Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Producing take-offs and detailed pricing schedules
• Working closely with design, commercial and operational teams during bid preparation
• Supporting value engineering exercises and alternative design solutions
• Attending site visits and pre-tender meetings where required
• Managing multiple tender submissions and deadlines simultaneously
• Maintaining accurate records of estimates, quotations and tender correspondence
• Assisting with handovers to project delivery teams following successful awards
• Monitoring market conditions, labour rates and material pricing trends
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and clients
