Job summary

The Abbey in Manchester is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join a leading building services team. You will prepare and submit competitive electrical estimates for a range of projects from refurbishments to new builds, interpreting drawings and specifications to define scope and cost.

The role requires at least 5 years of electrical estimating experience in building services, strong knowledge of electrical systems, experience with estimating software and MS Office, and excellent client

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical estimating within building services.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and equipment.
• Experience with estimating software and MS Office.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.

About the client:

Our client is a leading building services provider, offering specialist HVAC and Mechanical and Electrical turnkey services to a wide range of clients in Liverpool and beyond.

Electrical Estimator - Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and submitting accurate and competitive electrical estimates for a variety of projects, from small refurbishments to large-scale new builds
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and other project documentation to determine project scope and requirements
• Conducting site visits to assess project feasibility, identify potential issues, and gather information for cost estimation
• Liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to clarify project requirements and resolve any issues
• Collaborating with other members of the estimating team to ensure consistency and accuracy in estimates
• Keeping up to date with industry developments and emerging technologies to ensure the company's competitiveness in the market

Electrical Estimator - You:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical estimating within the building services sector
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and associated equipment
• Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
