Burley & Elsom Ltd are are a Lincoln-based electrical contractor, specialising in commercial installations. Established in 2014, we have recently moved into a new office space and are looking to expand our small, friendly team with the help of a new Electrical Estimator.

Role Description

The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, analytical skills and be an excellent communicator. They will play a crucial role preparing detailed quotations associated with electrical construction projects. The position requires the ability to interpret electrical drawings and accurately determine the cost of electrical installations based on project specifications. Key Responsibilities

• Source and coordinate the supply of cost-effective high-quality materials to meet the desired specification.
• Manage workflow from the receipt of enquiry to tender submission, providing the client with an accurate quotation within agreed timescales.
• Liaise with administration staff to maintain an inventory of materials ordered in relation to specific contracts and projects.
• To maintain accurate data in relation to quotations, remaining compliant with GDPR.
• Developing & maintaining our reputation through new business opportunities - quoting tenders & price enquiries.
• Provide effective and efficient administration of project accounts, variations and management of internal job costings.

Knowledge & Skills

• Electrical Estimating and Cost Control skills
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of relevant software and tools
