Job summary

RJ Electrical & Security Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our Doncaster team. You will prepare accurate cost estimates for industrial, commercial, NHS, schools, housing and solar PV projects, working mainly in the office with a collaborative team.

A minimum of 2 years in electrical contracting and familiarity with Amtech estimating is required. We offer a permanent, full-time position with a company vehicle, pension and healthcare.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in electrical contracting estimating.
• Familiarity with estimating software, particularly Amtech.
• Proficient in PDF viewing, Word and Excel for bid prep.

Responsibilities

• Determine materials, fixtures and labour for electrical projects.
• Estimate potential profitability to guide bidding decisions.
• Prepare and submit competitive project bids per guidelines.
• Regularly update cost databases to reflect cost fluctuations.
• Collaborate with a mainly office-based team.

Job Title: Electrical Estimator

Location: Doncaster

Salary: From £50,000 per annum dependant on experience + Company Vehicle

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

RJ Electrical & Security is one of the leading electrical contractors & electrical installation companies within Doncaster and the South Yorkshire region. We\'ve been providing our service for over 30 years and are absolute experts in our field whether that\'s commercial, industrial or domestic.

We\'re now seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our busy team in Doncaster.

About the role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a diverse range of projects, including:

• Industrial installations
• Commercial developments
• NHS and healthcare facilities
• Schools and educational buildings
• Residential new-build projects
• Social housing developments
• Private housing schemes
• Solar PV installations

Key Responsibilities

• Determining the amount, type, and cost of materials and fixtures needed for each electrical project
• Determining the amount of labour required to complete each project
• Determining the potential profitability of electrical projects to assist management in making sound bidding decisions
• Completing and submitting competitive project bids in accordance with established guidelines
• Regularly updating cost databases to accurately reflect fluctuating material and labour costs
• Working alongside a team - mainly office based

About you

We require at least 2 years\' experience in an electrical contracting background and to have some familiarity with estimating software, general knowledge of Amtech estimating, PDF Viewer, Word, and Excel. Additional training will be given, if required.
