Electrical Engineer - Day or Night Shift
Location:
Danehill, East Sussex
Hours:
Full-time, choice of Day or Night shift
Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:30am - 5:00pm
Night Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:30pm - 6:30am
Pay:
£20.00 per hour, with additional shift allowance for Night Shift

The Requirements:
- 18th Edition Electrical qualification - essential
- Demonstrable electrical and mechanical maintenance experience
- Multi-skilled electrical engineering background
- Experience with automation and three-phase systems - essential
- NVQ in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements
- Logical and methodical approach to fault finding
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong organisation and ability to prioritise workload
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively under pressure
- Good communication skills
- High standards of housekeeping
The Role:
- Provide plant-wide maintenance across a range of electrical and mechanical systems
- Work with electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs to minimise production downtime
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with PPM systems
- Follow isolation and lock-off procedures at all times
- Support continuous improvements across health and safety, production output, environmental impact, efficiency and productivity
- Complete maintenance work instructions efficiently and maintain accurate records
- Develop knowledge of plant and equipment through ongoing training
- Support maintenance activities during planned factory shutdown periods
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company standards
