Clearline Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Electrical Engineer to cover day or night shift at our Danehill site in East Sussex. Full-time role offering Day: Mon-Fri 6:30am-5:00pm or Night: Mon-Thu 6:30pm-6:30am, with £20/hour plus night shift allowance.

Responsibilities include plant-wide maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems, fault-finding and preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate will hold 18th Edition electrical qualification, NVQ in Electrical/Mechanical Eng, and have

Qualifications

• 18th Edition electrical qualification is essential.
• Demonstrable electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
• Multi-skilled electrical engineering background.
• Experience with automation and three-phase systems is essential.
• NVQ in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Manufacturing environment experience is advantageous.
• Strong fault-finding and safety knowledge.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Organised with ability to prioritise under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide plant-wide maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Work with electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs to minimise downtime.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance per PPM systems.
• Follow isolation and lock-off procedures at all times.
• Support health and safety, production output, and efficiency improvements.
• Maintain accurate records and develop knowledge through training.
• Support maintenance during planned factory shutdowns.
• Ensure all work complies with company standards.

Role:

Electrical Engineer - Day or Night Shift

Location:

Danehill, East Sussex

Hours:

Full-time, choice of Day or Night shift

Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:30am - 5:00pm

Night Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:30pm - 6:30am

Pay:

£20.00 per hour, with additional shift allowance for Night Shift

The Requirements:

• 18th Edition Electrical qualification - essential
• Demonstrable electrical and mechanical maintenance experience
• Multi-skilled electrical engineering background
• Experience with automation and three-phase systems - essential

• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills

The Role:

• Provide plant-wide maintenance across a range of electrical and mechanical systems
• Work with electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs to minimise production downtime
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with PPM systems
• Follow isolation and lock-off procedures at all times
• Support continuous improvements across health and safety, production output, environmental impact, efficiency and productivity
• Complete maintenance work instructions efficiently and maintain accurate records
• Develop knowledge of plant and equipment through ongoing training
• Support maintenance activities during planned factory shutdown periods
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company standards
