Job summary

Michelmersh Brick Holdings Plc seeks a skilled maintenance technician to support plant-wide electrical and mechanical systems in our factory operations.

You will work to prevent downtime, follow strict health and safety standards, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives across production areas, including safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in electrics and mechanical skills (multiskilled electrician) — essential.
• Experience with automation and three‑phase systems — essential.
• NVQ electrical/mechanical engineering.
• Previous experience in manufacturing environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide plant wide maintenance service, dealing with electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Follow isolation and lock off procedures at all times.
• Work to PPM systems.
• Develop knowledge of the plant through training courses.
• Complete day shift work instructions efficiently and fill in report books.
• Ensure work is conducted effectively during factory shutdown periods – maintenance personnel will be expected to work during these times
• Monday to Friday 06.30 to 17.00

Job description

The successful applicant will work in our Maintenance department, supporting the continuous improvement of all factory areas such as: health & safety, production output, environmental impact, and efficiency & productivity. The successful applicant will also be responsible for ensuring downtime is minimized and company standards are complied with.

An awareness of health and safety must be demonstrated in the workplace at all times.

Job specification

• Provide plant wide maintenance service, dealing with a wide range of electrical and mechanical systems including electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic
