Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is hiring an Electrical Engineering Trainer in Aberdeen. You will deliver in-house training to apprentices, combining classroom teaching with hands-on workshop delivery across core electrical topics and PLCs.

The role emphasizes passing on knowledge, supporting learners, and developing their technical and career skills. Full training is provided, with a competitive package including pension and generous holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Hands-on Electrical Engineering experience required.
• Teaching experience not essential; full training provided.
• Strong focus on passing on knowledge to apprentices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-house Electrical Engineering training to apprentices.
• Teach across classroom and workshop environments.
• Cover topics from basic Electrical Engineering principles through to PLCs.
• Work with typical cohort sizes of around 12 learners.
• Deliver a varied mix of teaching, training, practical support, and assessment.
• Full-time permanent position, 37.5 hours per week.
• Working hours of 8:00am - 4:15pm.
• Full training and development provided, including support towards SQA Assessor and Verifier Awards.
