Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking two Electrical Engineering Tradespersons (Core Trade Electrical) at Band 5 for full-time, 37.5 hours weekly, based at Morriston Hospital in Swansea. The post involves 12-hour shift patterns, on-call rotation, and responsibility for maintaining electrical and mechanical services in a healthcare setting.

Applicants should have an accredited electrical apprenticeship to at least level 3, strong fault-finding ability, and knowledge of statutory

Competenze

• Completed an accredited Electrical apprenticeship training course to a minimum level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent plus relevant training or equivalent experience, plus additional training and developed skills, e.g. air conditioning.
• Willing to develop knowledge of electrical/mechanical services and building fabric within a health care setting.
• Experience in NHS environment preferred.

• Provide multi-skilled engineering expertise across various electrical and mechanical equipment and fabric.
• Record maintenance tasks through helpdesk software via tablets.
• Ensure essential services are maintained to support clinical departments and comply with statutory legislation.
• Follow scheduled preventative maintenance and adapt to avoid disruption to wards.
• Plan materials and work with other trades to minimise patient care disruption.
