Job summary

Flogas Britain is hiring an Electrical Engineering Support Manager to lead an electrical team and manage commercial electrical works. You will report to the Head of Engineering Services and provide technical support to ensure compliance and contractor management.

The role covers hazardous area expertise, RAMS creation, resource planning, and liaison across Knowsley/Perth sites. The company aims to deliver renewable energy initiatives while maintaining project delivery and safety.

Qualifications

• NICEIC QS is required.
• Time served approved electrician (apprentice trained) is required.
• Electrical modules COMPEX EX01-04 are required.
• Inspection and testing City & Guilds 2391-17th edition or 2394/2395 – 18th edition.
• Experience with asset management systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create Job Packs for any new installation works.
• Responsible for equipment suitability and cable calculations.
• Create RAMS for installation, breakdowns and remedial works.
• Organise resources for installation work.
• Organise resources for preparation work at Knowsley or Perth.
• Organise breakdown cover for external bulk customers.

How you’ll power our business as an Electrical Engineering Support Manager

As an Electrical Engineering Support Manager, will be responsible for the management of commercial based electrical work. The role has been formed to manage Hazardous Areal Electrical work under one location. You will report into the Head of Engineering Services and will provide additional technical support on the electrical side of the business to ensure compliance and management of contractors.

You will lead and support an electrical team and be a strong experienced proven leader.

What We’ll Need From You

• NICEIC QS
• Time served approved electrician. (apprentice trained)
• Electrical equipment in hazardous areas and explosive atmospheres (COMPEX) MODULES EX01,EX02,EX03,EX04
• Inspection and testing city & guilds 2391- 17th edition, or
• Inspection and testing city & guilds 2394 and 2395 – 18th edition
• Experience in Asset management systems
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, power systems and control systems
• Deep knowledge of hazardous area classifications and zoning, especially with gas group 11A
• Organising and maintaining site electrical files using ExTrace
