Job summary

RWE Generation UK offers an engineering placement within the Gas Engineering and Outage group across the UK. Be based at Pembroke, Staythorpe, Didcot or Little Barford, providing key engineering support to operate power stations safely and flexibly.

You will analyse data to diagnose issues and contribute to asset integrity, outages, and improvement projects while developing practical skills and professional knowledge through structured training and workshops.

Qualifications

• Ideally, you should be pursuing a BEng or MEng Engineering or Science degree at an undergraduate level.
• Your degree should include an industrial placement year to meet the requirements for this role.
• Willingness to travel around the UK and potentially Europe, with overnight stays away from your home location. Expenses will be covered for this.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to ensure safe, efficient operation of power stations.
• Undertake data analysis to diagnose problems for long and short‑term projects.
• Support development of asset integrity processes and systems and deliver plant improvement projects.
• Assist in delivery of work packages in large station outages.
• Build expertise through hands‑on experience and professional development courses.
• Gain exposure to industry practices and develop technical knowledge and transferable skills.
